Today, Friday and Saturday will take us through a beautiful Valley towards our weekend destination of Cranbrook.
The road out of Golden had a good shoulder. We had the Columbia River and wetlands next to us. On either side of the valley were beautiful mountain ranges.
The huge Wetlands made for good fishing and we saw several osprey. One flew right overhead with a fish, larger than I’ve typically caught, flapping in its talon.
We were not sure how many places we would find a long this relatively rural route to eat, so we pretty much stopped and ate at every place we encountered. This made for fun day of eating while still getting a pretty significant ride completed.
