With the trip winding down I’m beginning to feel the need for some Prozac. Gloria’s bike being on the fritz kept us to a limited mileage and maybe that’s also part of my depression. I really enjoy seeing what’s over the next hill and the next and the next. Of course, Gloria is waiting for me at the top of each hill. Today we went from Ladysmith down to Duncan. We rode on some beautiful Trail winding through a couple of small coastal towns.

The weather report indicated a 30% chance of rain. Apparently on the island that means 30% of the day it would be raining. Fortunately for us that was this morning. We hung around Ladysmith as long as possible and it finally stopped raining. With the very short day we took the ride slow and enjoyed the ever-present blackberries. It will be hard to pay for these in the future having seen billions of them along the trail.

Arriving before a room was ready forced us to spend some time in a beautiful Park. I fell asleep on the park bench like a bum. Riding a bike for a month with two T-shirts and two pairs of shorts makes me feel a bit like a bum. Generally I like it a lot. For that matter, I really don’t need the extra shirt and shorts. I also wouldn’t mind continuing the ride right back to Colorado. Unfortunately, reality is waiting.
Who is Lori? Did you pick up another wife along the way? I’m glad you guys will be home soon. I’m looking forward to seeing you!

I kind of liked the Lori part. It spiced things up a little and added to the adventure.🤣😂🤣
